The summer holidays is a long stretch which can become boring for the kids if you don’t arrange things for them to do during the break. Here are some fun places to visit all around the US which will keep the kids busy this summer.
Take them to Disneyland in Orlando
One fun place to take them in the summer break to keep them busy is to Disneyland in Orlando. It’s the ultimate place where all kids want to go so they can enjoy the rides and meet their favorite characters. As well as Magic Kingdom, there are several other parks to explore including Epcot and Animal Kingdom. You should also visit the Universal Studios theme parks if you plan on staying for a few days. They have so many rides which are great for all ages. While you are in Orlando, you should explore what else Florida has to offer. There are some great beaches you can all catch some sun at Miami and Florida Keys, which are a short drive away.
Take them to the space center in Houston
Another fun place to visit in the US with your kids this summer to keep them busy is the space center in Houston. It’s a great day out for your kids as there’s so much to see and do in the center. If your little one loves space, they will love to find out more about the astronauts. They may even get to meet a real one and hear about their journey if you head there on a Friday. If you plan to stay a couple of days, you can find out more about what Houston has to offer by looking online and finding The #1 guide to Houston.
Take them to Nashville zoo
You should also consider taking your kids to Nashville to see the Zoo. They will get to meet a broad range of animals including meerkats, kangaroo, and pandas. It’s a great learning day out for them, and they will have a new respect for animals when they leave. You can find out more about the attraction here.
Take them to Mammoth Cave National Park
Another fun place to visit in the US to keep your kids busy this summer break is to visit the Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. The kids will love embarking on a cave tour where they will get to explore and learn more about nature. There are different ones depending on how old your kids are and how far they can walk. You could camp there, or stay in the hotel. And as this article explains, you can enjoy some recreational opportunities such as fishing while you are there.
You could also visit one of the Legoland Discovery centers which are situated across the US. They can build lego, watch fun 4D movies, and even play in the soft play areas. It’s great for kids of all ages. And if it’s raining so you can’t get very far, you could always stay in and play a board game or get crafty. Here are some ideas for a rainy day during the summers break.
