I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is in one month! November also happens to be my and Clay’s 20th wedding anniversary. I don’t particularly want to have to cook a big meal on my anniversary, but, we do pot luck style AND I am excited to be able to celebrate such a big occasion with family and friends. And if 20 years of marriage to your high-school sweetheart isn’t something to be thankful for, then I don’t know what is!

My sister-in-law has the Thanksgiving turkey but her oven is on its last legs. She said that it just gets hotter and hotter, burning the food. It’s was fixed once and now it’s messed up again. It seems to be dying a slow appliance death. Poor oven.
So she asked if we can cook the turkey here. Of course we can! Since most of the foods I’ll be preparing on Thanksgiving day require my oven, I’ll probably have her bring it the day before and we’ll cook it then.
Or, because my oven isn’t big enough to hold everything at once, we may just deep fry it again this year. I liked baked Turkey better, though. Deep fried is good enough but I’m not a big on fried food anymore. I’d rather have it baked in the oven. But, that brings us back to space inside the oven.
I wish I had the LG ProBake Oven at Best Buy! This oven looks incredible.
It is a double oven so we’d be able to do the turkey, dressing, my Cranberry Apple Bake, sweet potatoes, etc. all at the same time. It’s inspired by pro-style ranges so in the LG range, the heating element has been moved from the bottom of the oven to the back wall for optimal heat distribution. You can get consistent browning on top and bottom.
We could have Thanksgiving dinner cooked and on the table without having to do one or two things at a time and then keep them hot while the other stuff was baking.
If the marshmallows on the sweet potatoes drips over the edge, like it always does, clean up would be really easy. LG’s ProBake Convection ranges feature LG’s EasyClean®. So I could get a clean oven in just 10 minutes. 10 MINUTES PEOPLE! It takes me all day to get my current oven clean.
I think my sister-in-law should both put this oven on our Christmas wish lists. She needs it because her poor oven is about to die. And I need it because we do all the Holiday dinners at my house so we need the extra room and even cooking!
Plus, it would look fantastic in my kitchen! (Especially if my kitchen looked like the one below.)
