Make This Refreshing Sparkling Lemonade Recipe (2 Easy Ways)

While this Sparkling Lemonade is perfect by the pool on a hot summer day, it is equally refreshing any time of the year, especially when you need a little pick-me-up!
Sparkling Lemonade Recipe

You guys! I’ve been making the most delicious drinks using my Soda Stream, like the Sparkling Lemonade recipe I’m sharing with you today! I no longer consume sugar, if I can help it, so making my own fizzy drinks is the way to go. I love using lemon or lime juice, extracts and stevia-sweetened water flavor packets.

A drink that I’ve been enjoying is “Sparkling Lemonade”. It is super easy to make and even easier to make fizzy or sparkling, using my Soda Stream.

To make my Sparkling Lemonade recipe all you have to do is combine lemon juice (freshly squeezed or bottled), sweetener and carbonated water.

You can, of course, add in other things like a splash of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 – 1 tsp Babobab powder, mint leaves or a splash of mint extract, vanilla, etc. Mint leaves muddled in fresh lemonade is amazing and incredibly refreshing.

Now, I know what you may be thinking. With it being February, you may be saying to the screen, “Crystal, lemonade is a summer-time drink. I want HOT drinks in the winter!“. And you’re right, it is typically a summery drink. BUT…

I need some sunshine this time of year and lemonade offers me a glimpse of a sunny day. Plus, the heat is on in my house so, if I’m not going out that day, lemonade in a warm house hits the spot!

How Do I Make Sparkling Lemonade?

(recipe card below)

1st Way

  • Place the juice of 1 lemon or 2 TBSP bottled lemon juice in a glass
  • Add 1 – 2 tsp stevia/erythritol sweetener blend. I prefer Pyure brand found online and at most grocery stores.
  • Add 1/4 cup cold water and stir to combine
  • If using fresh mint, muddle in a seperate glass then add to the lemon/sweetener/water mix
  • Fill with ice, if desired
  • Top off with carbonated water. I prefer to make this in my Soda Stream so I know what’s in it. Water and carbonation. No other additives.
  • Garnish with lemon wedges/slices and/or fresh mint

2nd Way

An even easier way to make this Sparkling Lemonade is with a Lemon Love Hydrate from Trim Healthy and the Soda Stream. This is because the lemon flavor and sweetener are all included! All you have to do is mix the Lemon Love Hydrate with about 1/4 cup plain water, then pour that into your fizzy Soda Stream water.

If you don’t mix it with plain water first, it will be super fizzy and volcano up in the sparkling water.

Notes

This drink will be a FP Sipper if following Trim Healthy. I can be sipped on and enjoyed all day or guzzled in one sitting. However you enjoy!
Optionally add in 1/4 – 1 tsp Baobab powder, apple cider vinegar or your favorite extracts.
You can also substitute the lemon juice and sweetener for a water flavoring packet like a Trim Healthy Hydrate.
I prefer using my Soda Stream to make my own carbonated water. Use what you prefer.

Order Your Soda Stream

Make your own healthy carbonated beverages with Soda Stream!

The Soda Stream makes it incredibly easy to make your own carbonated beverages. Each unit comes with a carbonator cartridge in the back. To use it, you fill your Soda Stream bottle to the fill line with plain water. Then attach it to the unit. After it’s securely in place, push the button on the unit 3 – 4 times. You’ll hear the carbon go into the bottle and you’ll see bubbles. Once you’re done, release the pressure and remove your bottle. And that’s it! You now have carbonated water to use alone or in your fancy fizzy drinks.

I don’t care for the taste of carbonated/sparkling water by itself. I love using extracts and flavorings. I prefer sugar-free flavors and don’t like to use Sucralose very often. So I choose things with stevia or Monkfruit as the sweetener. Of course, this is my personal choice and you can use anything your heart desires.

Mix things up and create something new to drink!
