Disney’s The BFG will be opening in theaters everywhere TODAY, July 1st! This is the first time that Steven Spielberg has directed for Disney and it’s an amazing and magical film that must be seen on the big screen! My kids can’t wait to see it. Clay wants to see it. Everyone wants to see it! There are a lot of made-up words in this movie that need some ‘splaining. The giants language in the movie is called “Gobblefunk” and it is the language created by author Roald Dahl to give the BFG his unique voice. It is made up of silly words similar to those in the English language because, sometimes, regular words just don’t get the point across.
I have a fun Gobblefunk glossary for you to download to help get your prepared for the movie. Download it. Print it out if you wish and have fun learning some new words with the kids!
