This time last year, Clay and I were gearing up for our first ever trip to the beach! St. Simon’s Island, in fact. One thing we were looking forward to the most was the Jekyll Island Dolphin Tour I had planned. I’d teamed up with Captain Phillip to take my family on a tour and showcase it here on Cinnamon Hollow. Let me just say that it did NOT disappoint! We loved it so much that we’re planning one of their Sunset Dolphin Tours on our next visit, which just so happens to be later this summer. Woot woot!
I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to do the sunset tour. I’ve always wanted to view the sunset at the beach but being out on the boat to see it will be even more amazing! I hope there are some dolphins out and a beautiful sunset. That will be so perfect.
I’ll be taking photos and video and will share them here and on my Instagram about a week after our trip. So be sure to check here and follow me on Instagram for all the updates and coverage.
In the meantime, I can tell you that this is a boat tour that is totally worth the price. Even if you aren’t lucky enough to see dolphins on your tour, the boat ride alone is worth it. You’re taken out on a large pontoon type charter, with professional boat captains. They take you around parts of Jekyll Island and give you history of the island, sea life you may encounter, etc… The breeze combined with the gentle rocking of the boat are enough to put you in total relaxation.
I’m not a real fan of being out on the ocean but I would do this tour all day long if I could. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I’m so excited for the Sunset Dolphin Tour and can’t wait to share it with you!!!
