Try These 3 Tips To Achieve Silky Soft Lips

For the last year, I’ve been battling very dry, cracked and peeling lips. I’ve tried numerous lip balms and none of them seem to do the trick. They were peeling to the point that they would sometimes bleed due to big chunks of skin coming off! Very painful!

I wanted to use my lip scrub to exfoliate them but they were in too bad shape so I started with plain coconut oil on my lips at night. This helped quite a bit but still wasn’t quite enough to fully heal them. They would feel good in the mornings when I woke up but by mid-afternoon they were peeling again. Using the coconut oil more than once per day was causing me to break out (pimples) around the edges of my mouth so I couldn’t apply it more than once a day. And my go-to lip balms weren’t working.

I was recently asked to try out Lypsyl and figured it couldn’t hurt. Honestly, though, I didn’t have any hopes of it helping my lips so I didn’t even take a before photo. 😞

I was so wrong!

3 Tips For Silky, Soft Lips

I started using Lypsyl Intense Protection Original Mint Lip Balm 3 days ago and I already have soft lips! There were still a couple rough spots on my bottom lip where is was really chapped and tender, but it’s not coming off in huge chunks like it was. And my lips aren’t sore like they were.

3 Tips For Silky, Soft Lips

So, today I used the Lypsyl first thing. At bedtime, I will use my lip scrub to exfoliate my lips and follow up with the coconut oil. The reason I’m using the coconut oil at bedtime and not the Lypsyl is mostly a sensory issue. The Lypsyl is minty and has a cooling affect that lasts a couple hours. I don’t want that when I lay down to sleep so I’ll use plain, refined so no fragrance or taste, coconut oil.

In the morning, I’ll follow up with the Lypsyl, applying it about twice throughout the day, then repeat the scrub and coconut oil. This lip balm is super creamy and smooth on my lips.

It is lightweight and the minty smell and flavor is very cooling and refreshing. I love how it feels on my lips. I love how it looks on them too! It’s not cake-y or heavy and doesn’t leave a build-up or residue. It glides on and stays put.

I’ve only had to apply it 2 times each day the last 3 days. It is made with pure Swedish beeswax, Organic Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and vitamins A and E and can be found at stores like Wal-Mart and Meijers.

I also really like the size of the container. It comes in 0.10 oz which is quite a bit of lip balm. And the little slider that raises it up and down is a little bee. Too cute!

At night plain coconut oil, refined or unrefined – your choice, will keep keep them from drying out during the night when you’re asleep. Again, Lypsyl is perfect for this as well.
